Foster Parent Appreciation Dinner

The month of May is National Foster Care Month. No matter their age, all youth in foster care need a meaningful connection to a caring adult who becomes a supportive and lasting presence in their lives. Richland County Children Services honored foster parents their contributions during the Annual Foster Parent Appreciation Dinner at Ed Pickens' Care on Main. Entertainment was provided by a Mansfield Youth Symphony String Quartet. The keynote address was given by Paula Kyle, author of "On the Edge of Unthinkable" which documents how foster care saved her life.
