There were lots of smiles under the masks of more than 500 youths who received new winter coats last week at The New Store.

The Richland County Children’s Auxiliary’s The New Store gave away new coats, hats and gloves on Oct. 29th, as part of The Winter Coats Program. Volunteers from various businesses and organizations assisted with the distribution of coats to children in Richland County.

The Kinship families RCCS serves were appreciative of the much needed winter items.

“I received a call from a grandmother who is currently raising her three grandchildren due to   her daughter battling some mental health issues. She expressed how grateful she was for The New Store,” said Rhonda Marsh,          Kinship Navigator and The New Store Board of Trustees  Secretary.

“The New Store is always looking out for our community. They are providing hope and filling a need for hundreds of families in Richland County.”
