Richland County Children Services (RCCS) pitched in to help restock local food pantries as part of the 15th Annual ‘Make A Difference Day’ Food Drive.
The idea for the agency-wide drive was started by Family Support Specialist Vickie Graves.
A donation box was placed in the front office to collect canned goods and non-perishable food items to help those in need in the community.
RCCS employees dropped off the items at the Renaissance Theatre, 138 Park Ave. West on Friday, Oct. 23.
Donations were also collected at the Harmony House, 124 W. Third St., and Catholic Charities, 523 Park Avenue East.
The annual food drive comes during a time when the need for hunger relief is greater than ever due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
