Annual billboard contest invitations mailed to schools
Letters were mailed today inviting all Richland County third-grade students to participate in the fourth annual Richland County Children Services Billboard Picture Contest.
Our theme this year is "Children Are Our Future." Any child in the third grade may create a picture related to that theme. Letters were sent to every public and private school third-grade teacher in Richland County in hopes all students will be encouraged to participate.
Deadline for entries is Monday, March 20. The first-place entry will be featured on an agency billboard during National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April. In addition, the winning student will receive a $25 gift card and a pizza party for his/her class at school.
The best entries will be included in the agency's annual calendar to be published in August.
