Annual '5K Run/Walk for Safe Kids' another successful RCCS event

Richland County Children Services had another successful "5K Run/Walk for Safe Kids" on a chilly Saturday morning in the Woodlands neighborhood.

More than two dozen runners and walkers participated in the event, a fundraiser for the agency's Staff Enrichment program.

Despite the cool temperatures and a chilly breeze, everyone enjoyed a day also aimed at calling attention to local child welfare issues.

Medals were awarded to top finishes and top placers in each age group also received ribbons. All participants received a free event T-shirt.
