Richland County Children Services heads to Blueberry Festival

The next stop on the Richland County Children Services "2012 summer tour" will be this week at the annual Lexington Blueberry Festival.

Children Services is again one of the primary sponsors of the event and will have the usage of a large covered pavilion for the duration of the four-day event, which begins Thursday.

The agency will again give away free popcorn and other items, including water bottles, frisbees, yo-yos and megaphones. In addition, employees will offer information about the agency's services and solicit potential new foster parents.

It's the ffifth "big event" this summer for the agency, including the Miss Ohio Parade, the Ontario Fourth of July Community Celebration, Shelby Bicycle Days and the Richland County Fair. After the Blueberry Festival concludes, Children Services will gear up for the popular Bellville Street Fair in September.
